Burn out. I think you'd agree with me that this is common amongst ambitious MMA and Jiu-Jitsu practitioners. This can be a combat sports athlete’s most common issue and familiar foe and although training hard and pushing your limits can have its benefits, the problem with this is that “burn out” or overtraining can actually lead to a large list of serious health issues.
This was my biggest mistake when I was just beginning my martial arts journey and over the years I've researched and found some beneficial methods and strategies that have allowed me to train longer and harder without feeling burnt out or overtrained.
